One Week Update!

Lori & Ewan made it home from the hospital last Thursday! We've been super busy and super tired, which is why we haven't done a blog post since then! To celebrate his one week birthday, the poor little boy was circumcised - it was a very traumatic day to say the least! We have added new pictures to his flickr account, so make sure you check it out!

Videos

Lori & Ewan got to stay an extra night in the hospital so they're not home yet - hopefully tomorrow. Ewan (finally) figured out the whole breastfeeding thing today and Lori is feeling much better!

Here are a few videos we took on his first day. Enjoy!

They admitted her right away and by about 7am she was pushing. She did a great job through it all (natural birth with no epidural!), I was so proud of her!

Ewan weighed in at 8lbs 1oz and was 20in long with a full head of hair. Mommy & baby are both doing great and will hopefully be coming home from the hospital tomorrow (Wednesday).

You can see some pics of the handsome little guy here:

We'll be posting many more in the coming days (and weeks & months!) so be sure to check back often. We should also have some videos online soon.

Not Yet...

I have been in labor now for 1.5 days and still, no baby. I had contractions about every 7 minutes yesterday but they've pretty much stopped today. The doctor I saw this morning at the hospital said that by the end of today or tomorrow I should have this baby, but it sure doesn't seem like it!

Soon!

Hi blog readers - this is Zach. We went to the hospital this morning & Lori is indeed in early stages of labor. They sent her home temporarily until she progresses further which will hopefully be later today - so soon we will be parents! :) We'll post all the details later.

Hospital Time?

Well, I'm going to go to the hospital now since I'm having some bloody show and cramping! It might not be the real thing though so I'm trying not to get overly excited yet! Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes well and hopefully we will have news for you soon!

Our Baby's Development - Week 40

Your baby's due date has arrived-congratulations! If you are still pregnant, don't worry if you are not having signs of labor. It's not unusual for pregnancies to continue for 42 or 43 weeks. Your baby will continue to grow and develop.

The average birth weight for babies in the United States is between 7.5 and 8 pounds.

Update!

I went to my doctor's appointment today and he said that if I don't have the baby by next Monday (19th) that he is going to induce me! Hopefully I will go naturally before that but if not Ewan's birthday will be June 19th (hopefully)!

New House!

Here are some pics of our new house (finally). We've been doing a lot of work to it over the last 2.5 months and now it's photo-ready (at least from the front).

39 Weeks!

Our Baby's Development-Week 39

At this point, your baby is ready for life outside of the womb. He or she actively practices sucking and breathing reflexes.

Your baby may be over 7 pounds, and about 19-21 inches long.

Update!

I went to my doctor's yesterday and to my disappointment found out that he has changed my due date once again. It's now June 15th, not the 9th like we have been planning on for a while now! I know it's only 6 days but I have been feeling so lousy lately that I just want to have this baby, so I can start feeling better! I guess all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that little Ewan decides to be nice to his Mommy and come early!

My progress weeks will stay the same though, so I have just started my 39th week! If my due date was the 9th, then just the way it worked out, my 40th would have been cut short. I guess because my original due date was the 16th and that was a full 40 weeks, but then they said I was farther along but really I wasn't! Sorry if that's confusing, it is for me too!
